The Bluebrain show was great last night. I want to DJ some disco in that joint pronto.
Tom Moulton may not be a household name, but he's had an enormous impact on dance music. Pretty much single-handedly inventing the remix, the 12", the disco break, and the continuous mix album. Basically "A Tom Moulton Mix" stamped on a record in 1975 made Larry Levan get a semi. Here is a track written by Curtis Mayfield, performed by the unknown Patti Jo (rumored to be 16 at the time of recording), and mixed by Tom. It's one of the most beautiful disco songs I've ever heard. Have a good weekend.

Moulton is still at it too, just worked on a friend of mine's LP "The Kings Go Forth". Still got it!
