Brightest Young Things

Well, they are already here.
The second year of C’est Chic French Film Festival kicked off this past Sunday night with the screening of Astérix and the Vikings (based on my #1 favorite comic growing up). The festival is set to kick into full gear from October 23rd through November 1 with a series of 19 feature films and documentaries—that should satisfy even the most descerning francophile among you.

They even swung a big scoop this year with Academy Award winner director Claude Lelouch accepted to be President of this year's edition and to present the US premiere of his latest film: Roman de gare / Crossed Tracks. Other directors and stars are expected to show for some of the screenings (as all the boys, and some girls cross your fingers that there will be Audrey Tautou and Ludivine Sagnier sightings)

The festival opens with "Les Chansons D'amour" and unorthodox musical chronicles the lives of Ismael and Julie, two young lovers looking to spice things up. They invite Ismael’s co-worker Alice to join their life and their bed, but before long, Julie dies from an embolism, leaving Ismael shocked and torn.

Lagerfeld Confidential in which through the camera of Rodolphe Marconi, Karl Lagerfeld reveals himself in the most confidential way,as the last great icon of fashion and Priceless a romantic romp featuring Audrey Toutou frolicking through the French Riviera and this friday's Fashion Fete at CUSP in Georgetown where 16 short movies will be shown.
