Send to a Friend
In case you missed all the signs (and there were plenty of them), we hosted an afterparty for the first night of AFI’s week long “Blow Up” run last Friday (the movie is still on till Thursday-go see it).
It was pretty awesome, if I say so myself.
Mark Zimin of Mousetrap did perfectly on the audio side of things, people were in a great mood, and our intrepid team of photographers took some amazing portraits of the attendees, proving once again that-you put people in front of a background, point a camera at them, and you seriously don’t know what may happen.

Joel Didriksen and Dakota Fine

Wow, get’s me kinda wet!

September 9, 2008 at 10:21 amRe: zzzzzzzzzz
But I don’t see any ironic t-shirts?
September 9, 2008 at 10:34 amActually this was a good event - the movie, snore as it was, sold out (I’ll have to remember that movies I see while drinking with friends in a living room don’t really translate to the same experience on screen), people hung out and drank afterwards and discussed the movie and photography, people appeared to enjoy the free photographs being taken, the music was good and period specific, and I didn’t see any dudes with headbands.
September 9, 2008 at 10:40 amI know, what was up with the Durkl-free zone?
I love Dakota.
September 9, 2008 at 11:02 amExcellent Tee!

September 9, 2008 at 12:10 pmEddie - whenever someone pesters me and pesters me until I actually do it.
September 9, 2008 at 12:18 pmHi Eddie. I was talking bout the cool Red Tee, not the black Tee on the cutie. Is that something related to BYT?
September 9, 2008 at 1:42 pmjosh,
a) i knew what you were referring to, but sometimes i think i’m funny even though i clearly am not.
2) i have no clue what the red shirt is from, but yes, it is pretty good.
michael - just do it, you lazy, lazy man, you. it’s super easy. they will sell like handguns.
great pics by the photographers, btw
September 9, 2008 at 1:52 pm“I was talking bout the cool Red Tee, not the black Tee on the cutie.”
i feel like sarcasm is being lost on everyone today….i’m going to go ahead and speak for eddie (hope that is okay eddie) and say that he was kidding…..
and, that t-shirt is excellent. (the red one….to be clear…)
September 9, 2008 at 1:52 pmvictoryrose, that was practically a jinx. you owe me a coke. ;)

http://www.brightestyoungthings.com/events/moneytown-dahlak-2/
Sorry Eddie I guess I have no sense of humor today, it being drab and all. So Elle, what does that have to do with Moneytown?
September 9, 2008 at 2:19 pmEddie - I’m sure you could get some coke from all these coked out scene whore hipster douchebags that came to this elitist insider baseball irony fest.
September 9, 2008 at 2:21 pmcale, only users lose drugs.
josh, use your typin’ fingers and look up the link she posted in parenthesis. ()
September 9, 2008 at 2:30 pmeddie - the next time you are in new york, i’m treating you to a coke.
cale - coca-cola. or perhaps dr. pepper. or, even better, mr. pib. i love mr. pib.
September 9, 2008 at 2:35 pmKids, just say no to hard drugs.
September 9, 2008 at 2:42 pmParty Glass says did somebody say cocaine?
September 9, 2008 at 2:49 pmnobody said that. party glass needs glasses….
i’m just kidding, party glass, but like cale says, say no to hard drugs. crush them up before you do them! ok, i’m not funny again. sorry.
it was nice meeting you saturday night, party glass. even though you *are* a bit of a high talker.
September 9, 2008 at 3:09 pmthat’s right!!! i forgot (although…how could i really?) that party glass came to my dj night.
thanks for the support.
fyi, party glass loves the smiths.
September 9, 2008 at 3:16 pmfor the record, that last mean comment some mean commentator left I DELETED.
not cale.
cale would have approved it because cale is a bigger man (this is coming out wrong) than I am woman.
if you, mean commentator, whoever you are, would like to reprise the comment, we WILL approve it this time.
because, apparently, we don’t care.
dakota’s pict of alexandra is so righteously staggering.
orange you glad
September 9, 2008 at 6:30 pmit is TERRIBLY apparent that you do not CARE, Svetlana.. and yeah, that did come out wrong.
i wish you would’ve posted and not deleted, ftr. mean or not, that shit is true!
i thought my comment was pretty accurate; his girlfriends are getting uglier and more mannish! now, it would be accurate to say that she IS more of a man than Cale - but you? idk - i think anyone stating that Cale being a bigger anything than anyone is just.. wishful thinking! maybe it is his deteriorating nostrils all of these coke whores are so drawn to? OMGLOLZ KEKEKE CALE! YOUR COKE NOSE IS SHOWING!
September 9, 2008 at 7:24 pmi also would like to interject that i am pretty sure men with asian fetishes are just closeted pedos. /truf
attn: to whom is may concern..
please die soon so i can return to the city without seeing dc’s infant sized rats running amuck in some of my favorite bars and afterparties, thx!
me chinese, me play joke, me go pee pee in your coke
Beverly D’Angelo: “Do you like that girl? Is that what you want?”
Chevy Chase: “Oh, no. How could I like a girl like that? She’s ugly.”

Disgusting as usual. Letting people expose themselves in this manner is pure exploitation, nothing less. You all have no shame, and it shows.
