Why do we always put parentheses around Vintage? I’m stopping that tradition right now.
John Foster gushing about Shudder to Think earlier today got me reminiscing about Mtv’s The State. If you’re too bright and young to remember, it was the sketch comedy show that launched the careers of Michael Ian Black, Michael Showalter, and many from the Reno 911 crew. It graduated to CBS and lasted, count em, one episode. Anyway, one of their best bits ever was Porcupine Racetrack. Introduced on the show by Thomas Lennon (Lieutenant Dangle) saying that Mtv asked them to please please please not do this sketch. It’s a parody (homage?) of Broadway musicals that works cause it’s played so straight. Sadly all we get is this low rez YouTuber cause Mtv is sitting on the DVD box set for no apparent reason. Dicks.

Also - I know the image for this post is a hedgehog (I own one) but they are just way more thumbable than a pic of an actual porcupine.
