The Veils' "Advice for Young Mothers to Be" is probably one of my favorite pop songs (of almost all time).
They have a new album (not quite as effervescent but still lovely) "Sun Gangs" out now and are touring the great US of A promoting it.
Foreign Born, who I last saw opening for Annie Clark (as St.Vincent), are rounding out the bill and have a very good new record out on Dead Oceans/Secretly Canadian/Jagjaguwar.
The show happens this Saturday (party time!) @ RNR hotel and we have a pair of tickets to give away.
Whooooo.
TO WIN leave a comment with the best/worst/best worst advice you ever got.

Both best and worst: Advice from a junior high Sunday school teacher on things you should not do to turn on a boy on a date. Like put your hand near his inner thigh. Everything she said not to do worked like magic...
Best advice ever: Doing coke in the bathroom at Wonderland is no way to start a relationship.
