Sometimes, it is a Wednesday and you want to go to a show.
And the Cribs/Ra Ra Riot bonanza at the Cat seems as good of a bet as any, really.
Actually, it would seem like a pretty good weekend bet too, but this is DC and people pass through it on a weeknight en route to their weekend shows in NY, so you should be used to it by now.
(there is someone else opening too, but I woke up this morning still wearing my shorts, and with a ketchup stain on my sweater and frankly, I don't have the mental power to look that stuff up right now, but you can)
In any case, Ra Ra Riot is pretty awesome (check out our interview with them, as well as Peter's insanely entertaining live show review) and from what I hear, The Cribs are the next .... Arctic Monkeys? Or something? The "Hey Scenesters" song is all the rage right now, apparently.

i went to syracuse at the same time as Ra Ra Riot. and i have a booze clouded memory of making waffles with them after a show on campus. to this day i still love ra ra riot and waffles. free tickets would be much appreciated.
I saw Ra Ra Riot and the Red and the Black, back before their drummer's untimely death. Symmetry dictates that you should send me to see them again, for free.

Since moving to DC, I've had this strange pain in my back. I went to a doctor to have it checked out and he told me that it was due to rock music deficiency -- only cure is to seek loud music immediately. Fortunately, The Cribs are playing, and a pair of free tickets would definitely offset these medical expenses...
