June 11, 2008 at 12:45 amThe fact that Kim Deal was in the Pixies AND from Dayton (like me) was really inspirational to a very angsty, doc martens-and-babydoll-dresses wearing, 14 - year old Sara. She’s a big reason that I took up the bass. I saw them with
GBV and New Bomb Turks sometime during my freshman year of high school and still have a ratty old “Last Splash” long sleeve tee that gets regular use on chilly jogging days.

I suggest M1chael or even Michae1 or some variation thereof because, while I do enjoy the Breeders and Ms Deal, I’m not one to make free with the exclamation points and all caps and I’d hate to be confused with someone who is.
