June 22, 2009 at 2:26 pmDear BYT,
I go to your summer camp every weekend and have your website as my homepage. Additionally, I’ve dragged tons of friends out to events you’ve hosted because my faith in your taste is rock solid.
I also never use the words “hipster” or “sceneter” when describing this site to people. That counts for something, right?
Regardless, if I don’t win these brilliant tickets, I’ll still be making my way over on Saturday with space gear and glitter in tow. Thanksssss.

June 22, 2009 at 10:58 pmTop 5 Reasons BYT should give me tickets to the Nylon Summer Music Tour
1. Patrick Wolf’s “The Magic Position” is my go-to cheer up song. How can you not love the string section? And the toy piano?! He taught me to live and love, in the major key of course.
2. Because when people think DC is either a swampy, crime-infested hole, or a swampy, preppy-infested hole, I refer them to this website.
3. “A Drink A Day” encourages my alcoholism in a safe, comforting space.
4. I have a girl crush on the Plastiscines. If you give me tickets to the concert, the entire editorial staff of BYT is invited to mine and Katty Besnard’s rock ‘n’ roll Massachusetts wedding in fall 2010. There will be an open bar.
5. Because this post- http://www.brightestyoungthings.com/misc-awesome/giveaway-give-me-your-best-weedacid-story-and-win-free-tickets-to-pipe-camp/- was the best thing to ever be on the Internet, ever.
I once played “The Magic Position” at ipod jukebox nite, and some guy called me gay. A hot girl came to my defense, saying she admired my taste. We talked for a while and later did some magic positions.
Ha! I can pun!
June 23, 2009 at 1:50 pmI have mad love for jaguar love!
I should get ‘em because I lost the last ticket give away when they opened for polysics (rando) and I will be representing via a great crystal city (johnny’s clothing line from jl) shirt.
