Ticket Giveaway: Kate Nash

Ticket Giveaway: Kate Nash

April 15, 2008 by Svetlana Send to a Friend Send to a Friend

Kate Nash show at 930 club this Thursday is sold out.
Shocking, I know.
I think its been sold out before it even went on sale, honestly.

Anyhoo, we have a full preview coming Thursday (I quote William who is so excited to be doing this interview “I almost peed my pants a little”) but courtesy of Filter’s http://www.raggedmag.com/ (on whose cover Kate is this month and who also kindly gave away Grand Ole Party tickets earlier today and are our bestest friends for this week) we have a supersonic package to give away:

a pair of tickets to the show
a copy of the Kate’s smash hit “Made of Bricks” CD
and some magazines thrown in for good measure.

Who cares if you owe the country money?
You have free Kate Nash tickets.

Just leave a comment why I shouldn’t just keep these to myself by Wednesday at 6pm, which is when I’ll be letting the (very) lucky winner know whats up.

shit! i dont know if i like this site too much, or if i just have absolutely nothing to do , or if i just love the idea of getting free tickets to sold-out and non-sold-out gigs and then i end up testing my luck and trying to shoot some wits (which, most of the time, dont really configure a witty statement, reason why i end up feeling very embarrassed after i submit my comments - but i dont really mind that much there cuz people dont really know who i am and ill soon be gone anyway), or maybe all three of the alternatives above, but i keep checking this site every second hour. i’m so addicted. and it just gets better! i wonder if soon you’ll be posting a lou reed ticket giveaway. that would be like probably the best opportunity you guys could ever give to your (possibly esteemed?) readers. but i dont want to adventure myself in that topic cuz im a new, fresh reader and i do not know what kind of giveaways there have been in the past!

byt, you’re fabulous!!

that was just an admiration note!!

I would like to have these, because I’m an actual fan of her music and would be thrilled to get to go to the show. I have no snarky or sarcastic comment to append to this message.

I don’t know how I picked up this spiffy skill, but I developed this knack for understanding British people without subtitles — even Oasis. Plus, I know the proper way to say: “Cheers!”

Because I got my mother hooked on Ms. Nash. She’s 64 and full of indie-cred.

(Also, maybe I could bribe you with her sweet cover of Black Kids?)

This is more of a pitch for tickets for a friend, actually. Kate Nash is one of her favorite new voices amid the crop of mock-angsty, tween-friendly, alt-folky chanteuses. Probably because she broke up with her boyfriend and found some sort of solace/kinship in “Foundations.” (ha ha!) This is all conjecture of course! And I know what you mean about the show being sold out before it went on sale. Friend was devastated. Anyway, she’ll still rock out to the CD even if she can’t see/hear Kate sing live. Just thought it would be a nice gesture to surprise her with tickets. I think it would make her Merry Happy indeed!

Patty Says:

Please dont keep the tickets! I’ve been corresponding by email with loads of people on craig’s list trying to get my hand on a ticket but once it comes to me picking a ticket up they stop responding. This would be the greatest belated birthday present since I’ve been prepping for the concert for a while now even though I lack the ticket for it. I’ve been dressing up in my dorm and singing to her album almost every night this week. She is one of the few super femme artists that I’m really into these days and I dont want to lose the opportunity to see her before she hops over to the other side of the pond for a time period too long for me to stand. I’ll feel as bad as I did when I missed out on catching Lily Allen.

Stevie poo Says:

Because obviously if you keep the tickets you’ll be tricked into selling them for more than their face value and Cathy Lanier will sic her dogs on your pretty white a** yo
