This Wednesday (tomorrow) Grand Ole Party and Rogue Wave are playing 930 club.
Now, Rogue Wave is nice and all but Grand Ole Party - AH-MAY-ZING.
One of my top 10 live bands I’ve seen in 2007 (and if you read this site, you know I see A LOT of bands live, and sort of like a disturbing amount of them)
Anyhoo, we have a full preview coming tomorrow but courtesy of Filter’s http://www.raggedmag.com/ we have a supersonic package to give away:

in september 2007 i was here in the US and i perfectly remember feeling miserable because they were playing the day i was leaving. and so i missed grand ole party AND rilo kiley. now, rilo kiley i WILL miss again, since they’ll play dc in june and i am, as a matter of fact, leaving in may.
that’s my self-pitying why, which i’m full of when it comes to gigs (more precisely, missed gigs). ugh.
April 15, 2008 at 9:34 amUnfortunately, I only manged to catch the last two songs of their set when they opened for Rilo Kiley last fall, but I remember loving their sound and hoping they’d come back soon. Can’t wait to see them tomorrow night (and would love free tix!) If it helps, I was one of the 1,000 people disappointed last night by Neko Case being a no-show at the 9:30 Club…help restore my faith in rock and roll!

I saw them open for Rilo Kiley last September, I have to agree, they were/are Amazing!
