ELBOW's new album "Seldom seen kid" is being released in the US today, and the men from Manchester are coming to this side of the Atlantic to celebrate.
Their Sunday show at the Sixth and I Synagogue is their only East coast stop aside from New York and 20 bucks is a pretty reasonable price to pay for a band that, at this point has a decade of solid, critically acclaimed material under their belt.
However, in our ongoing effort to help you save money so you can drink more or buy more belts at H&M or whatever it is that kids these days spend money on, we have not 1, not 2, but 3 pairs of tickets to give away.

I deserve tickets because I'm first (I think). Even if someone beat me to the punch, I still deserve the tickets because I want to go not just to see Elbow, but also to see the opening act, Jesca Hoop. She's pretty awesome, too.
Forget Elbow. 6th and I is a phenomenal location. I'd go see Britney Spears there if she toned down her crazy and played an acoustic set. ha
Because Fallen Angel is my walking-alone-in-the-rain theme song. I should get to see the band that is contributing to the soundtrack of my life.
I was just fired from my job as a librarian. And now I'm thinking it's time to put my tie-neck blouses and vintage glasses behind me and go to my very first D.C. show. Screw the man! Well, either that or pass the time by picking lint out of my bellybutton. Which do you think I should choose?
