You know what Google show in real time? My ass, being handed to me. I was to give a presentation to a bunch of government nerds at the Renaissance Mayflower Hotel at 8:30. It is now 9:39. Guess where I'm not. Yeah, exactly.

I've seen 37 of those films and the 38th just happened to be next in my queue. I bet Svet beat me tho. So glad to see Capturing the Friedmans and Spirited Away so high on that list.

I also wrote a huge minute by minute commentary on the Insane Clown Posse video and then BYT ate itface-sad
In short it is amazing, watch it.

I have seen 36 of these movies (I cannot bring myself to watch with children being sad/abortions so that probably killed my over 40 score)

there is a nice little Insane Clown Posse myth bustin bit in this month's SPIN. Read it (though it's not online which blows)

I've seen 46 of those movies. I'm still pissed The Departed didn't make the cut.

I've seen every movie ever made.

here's the 'best of the rest' list:
http://www.avclub.com/articles/almost-the-best-films-of-the-00s-orphans-and-perso,35939/

notable omissions from both lists: Let The Right One In, Man On Wire, Inglorious Basterds (too soon to canonize..?), Slumdog Millionaire, The Lives of Others

The list is pretty solid tho. Some other top contenders (besides The Departed) that could have easily made the list:

About Schmidt
After Innocence
Borat
Ghost World
High Fidelity
Jesus Camp
Little Miss Sunshine
Lost In Translation
The King of Kong
Man On Wire
Michael Clayton
Murderball
Snatch
Solaris
The Station Agent
Stevie

And some that aren't pretentious enough to be contenders, but should be on the list anyway:

Iron Man
King Kong
The Ring
Shaun of the Dead
Star Trek
Wet Hot American Summer

And yeah, Kool Keith chart is tops, good work Libby.

Cale,

Nice picks! Especially Solaris, which is on my upcoming Movies of the Decade post.
