….where we rip off the best of the internet and present it to you as a precious gift-post, topped with a bow we bought pre-tied from CVS and attached with an adhesive strip, ready to go and be consumed with your first coffee/tea/quickie of the day. Voila! Morning magic! On rotation
We are all about appearances today.
Thank you Nicole and Michael for the tips.
- Transvestite crime gangs pester New Orleans
- His name is Mitchell. He is lonely. He likes to collect things. And keep them in his drawers. As creepily amazing as it sounds

- Texas school district may have carried school dress code one step too far: Prison-issue jumpsuits for children who don’t comply What if orange is just not your color?
- The John Edwards love child story rages on: “A source who has seen [Rielle] Hunter’s baby says, ‘She looks like John Edwards in a onesie.’”
- Hipster Pageantry: Gawker has all the scoop on the upcoming Mr. and Ms. Williamsburg upcoming festivities. (I hate when people give me ideas.)
- Introducing: BearForce1: …..The world’s first ever (wait for it!) all-bear band.
- And finally and unrelated to all this: my bicycle got stolen last night. It was the prettiest thing in the world and I’ve only had it for like a month. Am so mad and sad and annoyed I am barely getting this post together. So, I pick this as the video of the day:
was it chained/locked?

August 13, 2008 at 12:35 pmIn all seriousness, I am 100% devastated. I even cried a little when I woke up this morning and realized it is really, really gone.
August 13, 2008 at 12:40 pmmy bike wasnt chained/locked up all around 14th street last night and wasnt stolen. i’d never call it pretty though so maybe that’s why. so sorry svet. shoulda been mine.
August 13, 2008 at 12:44 pmWhat kind of bike? Keep an eye on the 14th st pawn shops, they often have stolen bikes. There are also a couple a bit further north on Ga Ave, and one in the glover park area that carry a good bit of fenced items.
August 13, 2008 at 12:59 pmdamn - that really sucks…..
lets do a benefit and replace it!
your bike would be really hard to miss. i mean reallyreally hard to miss. aren’t theifs supposed to steal things that are easy to miss, that blend in?
