In any case, Sweden’s favorite son with a latin name and a spanish acoustic guitar returns to DC on June 15th at 930 club, for an evening that is certain to pull at what little heartstrings you have left and melt your icey soul.
And as always before, he comes bearing presents.

I originally heard about this Jose when I was going to school in Gainesville, Florida. He wasn’t making any Florida stops so I recruited 2 of my friends and trucked up to Atlanta to hear him play along side St. Vincent. It was this dive venue but amazing getting to see him sit and play his covers along with originals. I have been hooked ever since and was completely bummed when I couldn’t get tickets to his last show here. Will bow to the gift giver if I could get one of these fine pieces of bounty.

I was heartbroken to find out I couldn’t go to his show at the Sixth & I Historic Synagogue, and of course I was upset I missed him at the 9:30 Club in October. I really, really, really want to see him. Really, really. I treasure his music so much so that I got my significantly older father into his music. Winning these tickets (and the iPod skin) would mean an amazing Father’s Day present. And then my mother’s birthday is only a few days after the show (yet another potential for gift greatness). This could equal my parents going to a show together! Imagine the love! Please! Thank you.

At this concert I met my boyfriend of 2 years now and the love is still going strong. So yes José González pulls my heart strings and to win would just be sweet. I can celebrate our two year anniversary at the concert. What a gift to give my sweetie. Thank you very much for listening.
