Britney said it best:
and the Washington Post said it pretty well too:
When the Brightest Young Things crew decides to throw a party, they really throw a party. To celebrate the relaunch of their Web site, the group has organized a giant throwdown in the sprawling space that will be the home of Artomatic less than a week later. The event kicks off at 6 with a show of works by BYT's contributing photographers, with music provided by Geologist, the sampler/mixer/electronic noise artist of innovative hipster favs Animal Collective. The focus switches to live music at 8, as locals Video Hippos, Food for Animals, Apes, and the Dance Party take the stage, followed by DJ sets from Disco City's discoriffic Chris Burns and BYT resident Cale. A $10 "donation" is requested at the door, and the dress code is ... well, look your best, whether that's day-glo jackets or stylish '60s dresses.
Only caveat: RSVPs are required in advance, so you have to e-mail RSVP@brightestyoungthings.com if you want to attend.
Anyhooo....
Our daily guest spot giveaway continues. Comment below if you'd like to attend our monster relaunch party this Sat for free.
If you just want to go rsvp now
We'll throw in an admit two pass to an advance screening on May 8th of "What Happens in Vegas" starring hot people. And as always, some creepy hugs.
Yesterday's winner has been notified.
Tired does not even come close to describing today.

God loves a cheerful giver.

just because
isn't it free anyway? i mean, "suggested?" how much money do you think is gonna make it into your booze and blow fund anyway?
Please! If Post Post Ironic be your true desire, you shall have it! If you want a demonstration of abstract expressionism, you can have it! If you'd like some guitar-shrilling instrumental post-metal, you can have it! If you would rather dedicate yourself to delicate post-rock, please have it!
Gracias.
I'd like to go for free so I can spend more money on beer at the party!
