This Friday night, legendary Chicago House music DJ and producer Ron Trent is coming to D.C. to share his love for all kinds of music. The party, aptly named, "Body Music", places an emphasis on the vibrations and sounds that make people want to shake and convulse to rhythms and melodies that are expertly prepared.
While enroute to D.C. via America's great railway system, Ron compiled a few tracks that fit his definition of what Body Music should be...
War - "City,Country,City": Full bodied work out.
Jackson 5 - I am Love: Thematic.
Johnny Hammond - "Los conquistadors los chocolates": Journey.
Nick Straker Band - "Little Bit a Jazz": Dance euphoria.
Dinosaur L. - "Go Bang": Triumph.
Now its your turn! Whoever can contribute the best response for what else constitutes "Body Music" with a music video and short description wins a pair of tickets to the inaugural "BODY MUSIC" party tonight at the Warehouse Loft. Good luck!

This song is body music. Body music is when you feel a groove in your heart and it translates through your body movements.
Loving Ron's selections, I droped some Johnny Hammond not too long ago: http://stage.brightestyoungthings.com/downloads/byt-favorite-song-of-the-day-195/
A lot of stuff off of the old WaxTrax! label...
No discussion of EBM means fuck all without Front242.
"The term electronic body music was coined by Ralf Hütter of the German electronic band Kraftwerk in 1978 to explain the more physical sound of their album The Man-Machine. DAF from Germany used the term "Körpermusik" (body music) to describe their danceable electronic punk sound. The term was later used in by Belgian band Front 242 in 1984 to describe the music of their EP of that year, No Comment"
This song's got something for everyone. Try not dancing to it.
It’s a spiritual thing, a body thing, a soul thing. Its music that grabs a hold of you. Gets inside you. It takes control of your body and makes you MOVE.
body music consists of chris burns' pornstache (see flyer above) and the following video:
...preferably pornstache + video at the same time. can it happen tonight?!
