The Long Blondes are playing RNR Hotel next Saturday.
We’re presenting the show which is wonderful because I love this band so much I cannot stand it.
Behold one of my favorite songs of the last 2 years:
and then a new one “Guilt” from the JUST RELEASED THIS WEEK “COUPLES”
You can buy (13$ each) tickets here but we have a pair (plus a poster, a copy of the cd, a hug and some other stuff) to give away and all you have to do, as always IS COMMENT.
so do it.
winner will be notified by Wednesday 8am.
Great — a free opportunity to stalk Kate Jackson!
May 9, 2008 at 3:18 pmI’m in.
May 9, 2008 at 3:26 pmi’m happy to see them finally touring america. they would play a date here and a date there, but never anything close.
May 9, 2008 at 5:53 pmits become very apparent to me that no one that has anything to do with this website has any real taste in music, only style, and that is sad
May 9, 2008 at 6:16 pmslim: you’re quite correct, we couldn’t care less about music, we only pretend that we do for cred.
obviously.
May 9, 2008 at 7:25 pmi always knew that chick from Save Ferris had more in her.
wait a minute…
So excited they’re touring. New song “Nostalgia” is just stellar. And Round the Hairpin give me shivers (in a good way).

May 12, 2008 at 12:43 pmThis band holds a very special place in my heart. They were playing in the background during a landmark first (nudge-nudge, wink-wink) with my boyfriend. It would be oh-so romantic if I won him tickets to see them live.
May 12, 2008 at 1:45 pmI love(d) the Long Blondes so much that I went up to Philadelphia in July 2006 to see their first non-New York U.S. date. Kate had to go out to their van to get us 12″ singles of “Giddy Stratospheres” and “Separated By Motorways,” since that was all the merch they had with them — they weren’t expecting to sell any.
I also had to go to Philly last year to see a set by Erol Alkan, the most amazing club DJ around, who produced “Couples.” Twas bliss.
May 12, 2008 at 2:18 pmIf I get the tickets, hug, poster, cd and other stuff it would be a good birthday gift for my friend. Though I would probably keep the hug because I don’t know how to re-gift that.
May 12, 2008 at 11:39 pmyeah, fritz, but i love(d) them more…
May 13, 2008 at 12:03 pm… and then you woke up.
