Granted, when "Rock as Ammunition" approached us to do a giveaway, my first response was: Isn't it kind of odd/uncouth to do a giveaway fro a benefit show?, but they felt that it would help raise awareness and attendance of the show, so who were we to say anything? Here goes:

This Friday, Dunes LLC presents four local rock bands: Tennis System, Shapiro, Memphis 59 and Spring Tigers and DJ Doc Rok, will come together at the North Hall of Eastern market (7th and North Carolina Ave NE) to perform a benefit show for Girls Rock! DC and Guitars Not Guns.
Good causes, good times, 20 bucks well spent.
We have a pair of tickets to give away if you leave us a comment as to why you cannot possibly afford to go but would like to support the event.
Cool?

God loves a cheerful giver.
My friend is in Shapiro, and I think they are great. However, I'm an intern that gets paid $9 an hour for a full-time job, can only afford to live far away from my job, which means paying to commute in and out of the city on top of my rent. I'm surviving on PB&J. I'm basically too poor to be alive!
Also in three weeks my internship ends and I'm officially unemployed. Awesome!
Brighten my week just a little bit with a ticket?
Because all of my money is going to school. As much as I would like to fork over 20 bucks for 2 great causes and some great music, it would be well spent but not wisely spent.
