The Basement Boys is a household name amongst aficionados and connoisseurs familiar with the history of house music and its important role in Baltimore. This Saturday night, Deep Sugar will be celebrating two of the Basement Boys' coveted alumni, Teddy Douglas and DJ Spen, as they promote the release of their new mix cd in the esteemed "Mix the Vibe" series on King Street Sounds.
The new cd is a great balance of tons of new stuff with a couple of older tracks to keep the purists and record nerds happy. A few personal favorite inclusions of mine include Kerri Chandler - Hallelujah, Kimara Lovelace - Misery (DJ Spen muthafunkin remix) and Teddy Douglas' Re-Edit of Ananda Project - Where the Music Takes You.
In order to celebrate the release of their new mix cd on King Street Sounds, we have three copies to give away to the first three commenters who want them.

And don't forget to make it up to Baltimore's best monthly afterhours!

Spen absolutely destroyed a Hometown Heroes party last year.
I’m still in awe.
