Brightest Young Things

The mob is back!
big news
The Goodie Mob were one of the first and best 90s groups to combine top notch New-School rhymes with spooky gangsta themes, and of course they were one of the first breakout ATL acts...at the time I remember kids being like: "Wait, they have rap in the south? Weird."

Ceelo hasn't performed with them since he left to make the questionable switch to singing and crossing over with rock producers--in hindsight a great and natural conclusion but still, it's cool to see him back together with the old folks. If they make a new album I hope they go back to the spirit that made them one of the most soulful and experimental coalitions of the 1990s.

But fuck all that you know there's only one question you need to answer to win these tickets.

SUNDAY MORNIN WHERE U EATIN AT?

Best soulfood breakfast spots in the world get tickets to the show next Thursday!

That's gotta be Amy Ruth's of Harlem on 116th and Lenox!

I may be overlooking the obvious world-famous (and just-as-soulful) pick of Sylvia's on 126th... but I could never say no to Amy's Al Sharpton chicken and waffles after a good service.

Chuuuch.

I wouldn't dare go to one of the world's most acclaimed soulfood breakfast places without being blitzed to the high heavens, so inherently I don't remember.

Guess I'll be the asshole that says "Waffle House."

I can't believe more honkeys don't go to Wilson's near the 9:30 club, but then again, I'm glad they don't.
