The home of Berwyn Heights, Md. Mayor Cheye Calvo was raided on Tuesday, reports the Post, and police recovered 32 pounds of marijuana inside. A SWAT team also shot and killed Calvo’s two dogs when they entered the home.

So yeah, that’s a lot of weed, but we’re no stranger to crazy mayor antics, so the real meat of this story is dog slayings. And I love dogs. And the fact that they were shot down over fucking marry-ju-wanna makes me sad.

What if they had kept it like this? Dropping out the low end and bringing up the jingle bells is all it takes to destroy the best gritty rock song ever written. Interesting nonetheless, but thank g-d it was scrapped.
Foreman’s Dog - Fugazi
Forget the hometown pride and the DIY ethics, Fugazi is one of the greatest bands of all time because of the music. From End Hits, one of their best, every track is brilliant.
Wolves (Song of the Shepherd’s Dog) - Iron & Wine
When the new Iron & Wine album came out last year I wasn’t very gung ho about diving into it. I mean, I felt like I had heard enough. Where was he gonna go? Then this track came up on random play and I think even Michael would admit it’s wonderful.
Jenny & The Ess-Dog - Stephen Malkmus
One of the best tracks from his underrated self-titled debut. I love you Stephen.
Golden Retriever - Super Furry Animals
This song is so cute. I’m a little biased tho. The whole album is fantastic - prob my fav SFA album.

“Do The Dog” by The Specials. Off the debut where every song is golden.
“(How Much Is That) Doggie In The Window” - classic and the version by The Persuasions kills it.
“Dog Door” by Sparklehorse which is shockingly more like Tom Waits than any of Mark’s other stuff by a long stretch.
I have two insanely cute foxhounds which trump your retriever just by sheer numbers. Your taste in dogs reminds me of your taste in italian ice - so pedestrian… hee hee.

I have tried so many times that it is not funny but I just can’t get into Adam Ant despite happily acknowledging the catchy tunes and percussive genius of some of his stuff. I loved Grandaddy for a few discs but by Sumday they were annoying the shit out of me.

The MPD instituted a training program for all cadets at the Police Academy, however, none take it to heart because they are NEVER held accountable for murdering animals because the law states they only have to say they felt “threatened” as justification for shooting a pet. That’s all. “Threatened”. Nothing more and with no real evidence needed. “Threatened”.
As if you needed a reason to hate police any more, right?
