i want them… cause when i tried to see him play (with Solex, no less) in Germany in 1997 my plans were destroyed due to a long series of events that involved: my friend storing hash in his ass, a thunder storm so intense the train had to stop because (i quote the conductor’s bad english) “there is no action in germany”, getting baked on said train with a girl who had one eye, watching the locals play soccer in said thunderstorm, arriving six hours after the show finished and eating white bratwursts on the steps of the Cologne cathedral with some local gutter punks and having to basically turn around and go back to where we had come from in the early morning, being constantly harangued by soccer hooligans and their air horns. it was a less than glamorous trip. i would have gone into more detail but i didn’t want to bore you.

I liked DCist’s contest better. Instead of Cornelius, they had Cornel West. And instead of telling us why you want tickets you were supposed to get a picture of him eating pizza with you. So why don’t you have a contest where you get to eat an empanada with Cornelius.

Every time I put cornelius on I go into this weird trance-like state. I’m awake but not necessarily aware – which leads to some weird pranks that I won’t discuss here. Anyhow, because of my allegiance to this artist, I have been embarrassed several times, and maybe a free ticket…I have no idea where this is going. I just want a free ticket and but I never win at these things when Cale’s judging, so this is really hopeless.
