SUN

David London’s SUNDAY CIRCUS @ The Fridge looks rad

And the real circus is in town too!

And some crazy people music: Magik Markers / Buildings @ Black Cat

Did you know Matthew wrote that Jesus was born of a virgin because he was trying to fulfill a prophecy in Isaiah 7:14, but he was working from mistranslated text where "young woman" was accidentally changed to "virgin". Whoopsie-daisy!  Mary is a dirty slut after all!  And check out this old hymn:

The centuries marvel that the angel bore the semen, the virgin conceived through her ear, and, believing in her heart, became fruitful

and all this time I thought ear sex involved 1-900 numbers.  ZING!

What did I miss?  Leave some comments.

Previously in Misc/Awesome:

God loves a cheerful giver.

As a Jew, I appreciate your correct translation of Isaiah.

Whether the Heebs meant almah (young maiden) or betulah (virgin) when writing down their crazy God stories about prophesies and shit is really irrelevant as the prophesy (such as it was) was already fulfilled a couple of verses later in Isaiah: the birth of the child Immanu-el would be God's sign to king Ahaz of when the Great Bearded Wonder in the Sky the Jews fostered upon us and kind of started all this crazy religious nonsense that plagues us to this day - would help Ahaz be completely free of the threat facing his kingdom. Anyone who bothers reading the entire passage in Isaiah's book of mythological religious crap would see that the prophesy was fulfilled a couple of verses later....not 700+ years later when Yeshua bar-Abba was squirted out of yet another almah's fuckhole.

Right, there is that too, I just didn't want to get too preachyface-smile

Also the idea of virgin births in general had been floating around for thousands of years. Even at the time when the gospels were being written the pagans were calling them out for ripping off their myths. If only Christians would study the Bible historically and critically... sigh. Or read it at all for that matter. Want to lose your faith in a hurry? Actually read that shit.
