US Royalty played the Warehouse on Saturday night for an epic performance, that due at least in part to the intimate and altogether awesome nature of the venue, was nothing short of hair-raising. Although vocally I’ve heard better nights from frontman John Thornley, the energy emanating from the band and in return reflected back from the audience was electric. For the final, encore song (a first maybe?), the crowd even joined the band onstage for a memorable performance of one of their new songs.
Front and center, fans in cocktail dresses could be seen encroaching the stage, even, singing along to the lyrics (we won’t name names). The party (also known as “Sprung” was promoted at least partially in honor of Patrick Wixted’s (pictured directly below with brother Doug) birthday, happy birthday Patrick.
catch US royalty next @ RNR Hotel on April 8th with Lissy Trullie.
