**Contest is over, winners are being notified - thanks for playing!**
Weren't able to get Spoon tickets to 9:30 Club or Merriweather or wherever they ended up playing? Don't fret, cause this Saturday at the Black Cat indie rockers Robbers on High Street, along with fellow New Yorkers Longwave and our own Telograph will be playing the mainstage at 9pm for 12 bucks.
Or for free if you win our ridiculously easy contest.
We also have two copies of their 72 out of 100 on metacritic rated sophomore effort Grand Animals. Download The Fatalist off the new album here. Oh, and check out the remix done by our drunken buddies The Glass of Married Young here.
So - all you have to do is write a 3 page tone poem about... no just kidding, just leave a comment on this post saying you want either the pair of tickets or a copy of the new album AND list some band you think is swell that BYT should look into for future interviews, giveaways, listening parties, whatever.
Put your real email address (that only I will see) if you actually want to win. Rad.

God loves a cheerful giver.
I want their album because I've never heard them! Isn't that really the best reason to give someone the album -- people who've already heard them don't need one. It's logical!
I'd take the album and request you guys look into interviewing Lazaro Casanova. He's kind of sort of dreamy.
I'm interested in the tickets.
I think you should increase hype around Chopteeth, DC's own (and only?) afrofunk juggernaut. They're make me shake my ass like nothing else these days.
i'm spinning up a loveweb with these guys. that should count for something, right? album please. i'm afraid of what i might do otherwise to get it for free.... ee-gads.
p.s. everyone should go to this show. Robbers on High Street is a force to be reckoned with. i am perplexed that everytime i go to see them there is elbow room to spare. seriously, if you don't go you are a nerd. and not the good kind, either.
p.P.s- dude, cale get some updated pix of these guys. the ones you have are of duders who aren't even in the band anymore. their replacements are much hotter and much skinnier. sayin.
whoops, i forgot the whole premise of the contest.
please look into The Love Language. It's one doodles who is absolutely phenom. I got a free cd from him at the Warehouse party on Friday with The Fever (also good) and I haven't stopped listening to it since. legit.
I'd like the album.
And definitely check out Jacob Borshard. Although he's all the way in Portland, he plays ukulele and has both of his albums available for free download. http://www.creebobby.com/
I go for adorableness, not accuracy.
i love Robbers on High Street Free Shit. hook me up with free tickets please good sirs. in the futue, BYT should look in to the phenomenauts. they are super awesome.
I would love tix to Robbers on High Street. I think it would be great to do an interview with Joel Plaskett when he comes to town. He gets so little coverage in the US. Or something regarding the really vibrant Francophone scene tied into a Malajube interview.
I'd love tickets. I saw them a few years ago and they put on a really great show.
You should check out DC's own The Roosevelt. Or Chicago's The 1900s.
