(with afterparty photos to follow)
The Faint was the most challenging show to shoot! Sure - there was a lot of awesome cool lights! But, they came in the form of flashing strobes!!! That, combined with a very active band, a 50mm lens, and a 3 song limit from a dance crazed crowd.... made for a fun shoot! Well, more nerving then fun, but I still enjoyed it!
I was happy with what I was able to get. I had to be quick and of course since I still like to do everything manually on the camera, gauging light was tricky. Some are hot from the strobes, some are soft from having to focus in near darkness while waiting for light, but some are awesome! Enjoy!
It was definitely a fun show!

God loves a cheerful giver.
no pictures of the first opener?
i heard they were a lot better than the screamo Jaguar Love
and unfortunately, i missed them and caught the later
a-greed...jaguar love was painful.
The first band was Shy Child and was much, much better than Jaguar Love.. plus one of the guys is the keyboardist from Supersystem which is an ex-DC band.
Great pix & nice to meet you outside!
I also agree. I think the lead singer of Jaguar Love (despite his Bon Jovi/angry guinea pig haircut) must be a eunuch. Such high pitched singing is not natural.
The Faint were spectacular as always
I shot the first act too - see them on my flickr!
Greg - nice to meet you too!
