Due to some press request snafus we seriously thought we would not have coverage for this show.
BUT, everyone put their hands together for Anna, who home from NY, intrepidly made her way in and took these beautiful shots.
Use the comments to tell us how it was.

God loves a cheerful giver.

The show was fantastic. During the softer songs the room was as quiet as an organ harvesting colony on the moon. Unfortunately John refused to profane the name of the most high in the synagogue, so his setlist was somewhat compromised.
People really should have stood up the whole time. It was way too good to be sitting down for.
It was an amazing show - and I have to say I enjoyed being able to sit for the whole thing. It made the atmosphere, as spaz says, as quiet as an organ harvesting colony on the moon (though hopefully minus the cannibalism). Plus, I'm short and don't like spending shows trying to see over other people's heads.
I made it in because someone talked to John Darnielle of the Mountain Goats who turned out to be a fan of BYT and sent a ticket my way 5 minutes before doors- big thanks to him!
anna i hate you for going to that show!
(just kidding, i don't hate you.)
but that last photo is stunning.
they remind me of baroque paintings.
Seriously, this is the only show I wanted to see all year and I'm out of town. Suckity suck.
Great show. John Darnielle is not only a talented musician but a real performer and his interaction with the audience is intimate and casual. He makes you feel like you're sitting around having a jam session. Also, JV had a wonderful, pure voice.
