The Cold War Kids were supposed to play 1 show, then 2, then 1 again but one thing was for certain: they were going to be awesome no matter how many night stands they chose to have with DC
Ryan (Wakeman) was on hand to capture all the magic:
a little bit of “come early for” We Are Barbarians
and now for the main attraction:
none of our reviewers were available to go (bahambag)
so i am
a. hoping we get some “reviews” in comments
and
b. hoping someone volunteers a review to add to these (very nice) photos
in other news: the dinosaur jr review which is going up in seconds is a review-review AND amazing.
it has photos too.
So the picture taking guy isn’t a word writing guy? People are too compartmentalized, expand, expand!
November 29, 2007 at 10:39 amMichael, have you ever seen Joel or Fitsum or any of our photographers review anything? or vice versa.
team work all around on byt.
(ryan, who took these, btw, took the Morrissey photos for your review. If he wrote the review, then we wouldn’t have needed you to go, and you would not have been happy with that)
touche. I forgot not everyone is as talented as am I.
November 29, 2007 at 11:18 amachem, this reviewer is always up for a show, be it your Mom or the Wiggles.
November 29, 2007 at 11:37 amwasnt there but this band is horrible which so im guessing the show was too.
November 29, 2007 at 12:15 pmAs always - BYT likes reviews with photos the best - but if we only have photos or only have text, we’ll still run it cause it’s better than nothing.
November 29, 2007 at 1:21 pmi am a fan of photo #9–
looks like the moon.
nice.
Bravo, Ryan! Great pics. So jealous you were able to shoot this. I had no luck getting a press pass.

Photos of drunken idiots at a dance night (of which I freely admit I am one), without accompanying words is one thing.
Reviews of shows that are just pictures without any reviews of the show or talk of the band is another.
Let’s have some reviews with our reviews.
This is like taking some still photos of a movie and putting it up.
I’m sure the photos are really nice, but I’m on our network so they’re all just little red xs to me.
