Saturday's The Known Unknowns/ Black and White Jacksons/ Nunchucks show at DC9 served as a perfect way to split up the weekend, because really, who doesn't want to spend the night with a bunch of cute boys playing rock music?
And of course, there were the cherries on top - DJs Mister Disco and Starrscream (who served double duty since he's also the drummer for The Known Unknowns) spinning post-show, obviously keeping the party nonstop.
BLACK AND WHITE JACKSONS
So, it was a serving of possibly the most Weezer inspired power pop I've ever heard from the Nunchucks (really, who else could you count on to have song titles like "BFF" and "Leaving Cyberspace") and some louder and a bit more in your face offerings from Black and White Jacksons and then Known Unknowns time. Rock. Fun, hot, hot and fun again. Please come back from studio time and play again soon. KTHX.

We're (The BWJs) are on the front page of the washington post (online) right now too! YAY!
Black and White Jacksons are my new favorite band!! Amazing! They handily blew everyone off the stage (and back on again...and off...and on). Totally fun - loved it! Thank you, BWJs.
btw - GREAT pix Pat!!
The Known Unknowns made my weekend!
The Known Unknowns did NOT disappoint - their best show yet.
Also, a thumbs up to the B&W Jacksons, who destroyed.
Any band that has the nuts to cover a gag track from "It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia" certainly deserves my respect.
That was the best concert / dance party I've been to yet. Serious props to all the bands and DJs.
Also, there is only one T in Pat, but I think in this instance it stands for "T-t-t-totally duuude!!"
one of these days, I will learn how to spell the contributors' names.
i promise.
