Live DC: Food for Animals @ La Casa

Live DC: Food for Animals @ La Casa

First impressions of La Casa, especially at night from fast cab: anything from rundown burritorium to maybe storefront iglesia. Then you walk in and it’s like one of those no-holds-barred party bungalows you either heard about or lived through during your 4 or 5 or … years of college. The totally unlit Food for Animals performance, the intensely vegan aura coming off all the crusty beards and near Dead Headish grooving going on sort of moved me to shed some of my own babylon. Hence these blurry, black and white, no-flash shots that smell like used futon. Food for Animals smelled pretty OK though. And rocked well. Son.

La Casa looks more like Los Rec Center. I.e. that show probably kicked ass.
