Oh. Yes. It. would.
The Green Apple Festival had all the right names to drop (Thievery Corporation, Toots & Maytals, The Roots) and presumably, a glorious weekend to drop them during.
And then…Sunday hapenned.
Seriously, the rain.
The downpour.
The imminent disaster, that of course, struck.
Martin powered through what was there to power through (namely, NOT the Roots, but OAR-booooo) and here is the wet dream that he captured.

Better Luck Next Time.
so did Ed Norton and/or Chevy Chase show?
that would have been my only reason for checking it out
btw, what the hell was up with DC outbound traffic on Saturday? i couldn’t get out of the city for more than an hour because Constitution and 10th street’s exit to 395 was blocked off b/c of an alleged “protest” no one in online news media reported about
it was madness, and the cops were downright rude, awful and ignorant of helpful details, like how to get around bumper to bumper traffic on 14th and Pennsylvania Avenue
thankfully i was able to figure my way out of the city
but i was about to lose my mind in the process
It was a white supremacist Protest. The WaPost covered it on Sunday:
http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2008/04/19/AR2008041901894.html?sub=AR
Both Ed Norton and Chevy Chase showed up and gave speeches.
You just had to wait around for the first wave of storms to end.
But it was cancelled it after the second set of storms.
damn you white supremacists for causing so much unnecessary traffic!
thanks for the news update
