God loves a cheerful giver.
beautiful pictures
glad i saw him front row at the National the night before
Warner was packed and no stage rushers at all
security was insane
i slid through a space in the baracade in Richmond, kissed his hand, and he held on to me for a while while he was shaking hands down the front row after his encore
snuck back before security could catch me
what a night
Josh Sisk is my hero
so beautifully done Josh.
Someone review the damned show, please (Not Lily). Be interesting. I didn't go as I was sick.
thanks for the kind words guys!
i didnt realize there was no review or i would have written something... to sum it up, it was really good, he is still a great showman, his band is really hard-rockin (which seems weird at times), he played almost entirely stuff from the last few records, which i expected but i was still holding out for some more classics. he encored with "first of the gang to die", which is my favorite song of the modern morrissey catalog so i was stoked... and with that, y'all can see why i take photos instead of being a writer.
also the backdrop was amazing... muscular sailor boy flexing with a huge guitar jutting out of his mouth! ahahaha, oh stephen patrick...
huge guitar? huge CIGAR! sorry frantically getting ready for sxsw...
Great set! He's old but I love him.
stop being such a crashing bore Michael

Morrissey a Paris:
November 2004. I went to see Morrissey @ Le Zenith all by myself - I didn't have many friends at the time and in all honesty, it was probably better that way.It was a fantastic show. Even though Boz Boorer and co. will never be like Rourke, Joyce and Marr, they're not bad.
As I was walking out I noticed a tall man with scraggly hair and big glasses. It was Jarvis Cocker! I couldn't believe my eyes. This is one of the few times I've ever really been starstruck. I told him that it was great to meet him and I loved his music and then I was on my way. He smiled awkwardly and said thank you and returned his attention to his wife.
What a great way to end a classic night. Oh and I found a copy of that week's Economist in the metro-ride home. SCORE.
Lily - I don't read blogs.
Patrick - somehow reading the Economist doesn't fit in with being a Moz fan. I can't explain it.
Michael - what do you call byt?
pretty sure it's a blog, and you read it
weirdo
Patrick - too awesome that you met Jarvis
Michael:
Why are you always angry? Read some Rousseau and step up your vocab!
Kevin - ask anyone who knows me. I am very rarely angry, especially when interacting on a website.
Lily - this is more a collection of social events and sometimes stories in and around DC. It isn't a blog in my mind.
Michael:
An observation: There is a fine line between angry and unfriendly.
I'm also one of the most friendly motherfuckers around. Ask anyone.
Skip the adjective and you'll be right on. Objectively.
You probably did the father as well.
Nah, don't do dudes. Would do the daughter though.
However if you don't know me personally and only through the internets you are making some pretty ridiculous assumptions.
