Walking over to Modern, I ran into Stephanie who had just left there and was heading the opposite way. I wondered if first commenter Todd — who obviously couldn’t keep from fucking with the obvious — was right afterall and others might be feeling the same. Not even close. Modern is actually a very handsome bar that’s nicely laid out for the dj’s, dancers and dj and dancer watchers. Drink specials were being well taken advantage of. DJ’s Gavin Holland and Matt Nordstrom worked up a major big time frenzy alongside an MC/hypeman with Adult Swim-compliant tattoos. For most of the time, I mistakenly thought the guy throwing the party, Scott, was actually DJ DK. Drink specials yo.
