So, remember how a little while back I informed you about the possiblities of LNS Reality show and all hell broke loose? Well, since everyone “cares” (or at least needs one inflammatory post on BYT a week to have some kind of a comment war where they use the word “hipster” a lot) here are some updates:

if you are still gung-ho about being part of “Capitol Hills” then you can still hustle out to the casting call they’re having tonight (DCist calls “Park on 14th” where the casting is going on, “an invite-only lounge, so possibly not even worth the effort of trying to get in” but then, I keep getting invites to it in my inbox so either everyone is invited, or I am secretly more of a douche than even you thought.
If you go, we want to know about it.
and if you are more into reality tv “classics”, it seems that Real World is considering DC as a location again. Which reminds me of a time my first summer here I went on 2 dates wit some Senate aid/intern/powertripper law school kid from UCLA who seemed obsessed with the fact that I lived 3 blocks away from the Maggie Moo corner on 18th (aka Belmont and 14th) because he “heard from reliable resources they’re turning the lofts above it into the Real World pad”.
It was kind of like when people in middle school want to hang out with you because you have a pool in your backyard.
and in real, soap terms Wonkette went down the Washingtonienne memory lane today (the elections must not have been keeping them busy). Try not to get misty eyed.

March 1, 2008 at 12:01 amThat Real World DC thing has a really good shot of happening this year with the election coming up…prepare for our beloved city to be embarrassed. If we’re lucky they’ll stick to Georgetown and maybe nothing will change. Chinatown (which is quite a misnomer today) seems like a likely spot as well. I’d be ticked if they mess with U Street…it’s already been in full-speed gentrification for the past few years.
