Someone forwarded me this site yesterday and hell if I was not going to share it with all of yo
(Thanks Haley!)
Welcome to http://firstfriday.wordpress.com/about/, a self described: bunch of Washington D.C. conservatives and libertarians getting together at a local bar once a month to catch up, meet new people, network, bitch about stuff, laugh at each other, and gloat over softball conquests. In short, it’s just fun.
Anyhoo, they can do whatever they want and drink wherever they want, its a free country/city/state (isn’t it?) but the bestest part of their whole operation is their Holiday Party Crash List, which, in pure genius mode lists everything you NEVER DREAMED YOU WANTED TO CRASH BUT MAYBE NOW WANT TO.
Click above for a full list, but here are some choice choices for the next week, we ourselves are seriously considering ( even though, according to the site: We don’t promise you’ll get into all of these, but you can try. Give it a shot, what the hell.
And they’ll keep updating the list as new info simmers in.
Can we have a whooooo-hoooooo on top of an AMEN?
Thank you:

this post has nothing but unwavering party crash enthusiasm in it.
December 5, 2007 at 12:37 pmWhy in the fuck are Libertarians hanging out with Conservatives anyway?
December 5, 2007 at 2:16 pmactually thanks nick…I think he discovered it!
December 5, 2007 at 2:37 pmI am surprised that you need to ask that question, Michael.
About half of all Libertarians are basically just conservatives who have taken the extreme position beyond ordinary conservatives in that they do not want to pay any taxes at all. Such Libertarians care naught about legalizing marijuana or stopping illegal wire-tapping as the other half of Libertarians do. The Libertarian Party is a big tent party.
December 5, 2007 at 3:06 pmWe hang out because we generally get along, just not so much on the social stuff, which is why we don’t focus on it.
And we like to drink.
The list is a helpful thing to anyone looking to eat and drink for free, which is just about everyone in DC.
And we also have Newt Gingrich and Cal Thomas coming to hang out at our happy hour this Friday. All the info is on the blog at http://www.itsfirstfriday.com
December 5, 2007 at 6:12 pmI’m crashing this party, right now!

I’m detecting a serious liberal bias in this post.
