After the initial casting call, and last week’s plea for bro-hos, The Examiner lets us know it is all very official:
We can now exclusively confirm that Lifetime has picked up the show and filming begins in September. The half-hour show is slated to air in November and has scored a crucial timeslot: Immediately following Lifetime’s popular reality show, “Project Runway” (which will switch from Bravo to the Lifetime network this fall).
Casting hasn’t been finalized, according to one source, but the primary characters — local socialites/hotties/20-somethings Katherine Kennedy, Krista Johnson and Sophie Pyle — remain on board. Johnson’s younger sister, Alexa Johnson, will also play a role in the show, most likely, although she and the show are still working out specifics. The Johnson sisters are alumnae of South Carolina’s College of Charleston, Kennedy graduated from Loyola Marymount and Pyle is taking a semester off from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
Krista Johnson told us in July:
“It’s all going to be about our real lives,” said Krista Johnson, who is a partner at the Georgetown boutique We One You Two. “It’s going to be in the same vein of MTV’s ‘The Hills’ but ours is going to be more realistic.”
PB&J founders Patti Ivins and Julie Pizzi have worked on MTV’s “Road Rules,” FOX’s “The Simple Life” and “Who Wants to Be a Playboy Playmate?,” TLC’s “Date My House” and CMT’s “Pageant School: Becoming Miss America.”
