I just moved to Adams Morgan after a 9 month stint in Columbia Heights/Petworth. I thought it wise to run a quick check through the national sex offender database to better know my new surroundings, unfortunately this database doesn't apply to the sex tourists that come to Adams Mill on Fridays and Saturdays for casual groping.
Here is a what comes up when I search sex offenders near my new haus. Each square represents a sex offender. Clicking on one of the squares take you to the photo and vital stats of that sex offender- it’s like facebook for rapists!

Joe Simpson, who lives on the 2700 block of Ontario- which is the same black as the Crumbs & Coffee/Bancoamerica building) isn't a very good criminal.

James Washington isnt even a rapist per se, he's only convicted of multiple "qualifying sex offenses" for all we know he could be a serial flasher, which is totally a sexual norm with the friends and coworkers I have.

John Gregory is only into children.

Turns out that all the sex offenders near my new house are inept criminals or not into my demographic. So I'm totally safe. My mom is going to be so happy.
Here is a link to the Family Watchdog site that will allow you to search your neighborhood for perverts.

God loves a cheerful giver.
your mom is, however, probably not going to be as psyched that you put your address on BYT.
My mother is never psyched about anything I put on DC.
if u need a kung fu fighter to defend u, just holler

I just took a look at the Family Watchdog site and found a lot of errors and questionable data. They have addresses in Northeast mapped to squares in Northwest, residences listed in commercial areas, etc.
Idea:
check the registry *before* you move.
