We told you to go to support Comet Ping Pong at the ANC meeting where they petitioned the fuedal lords to stay open until 12 a.m. (gasp!), serve alcohol on its patio (gasp!), and host live music performances (gasp!). Well, if you took up the call to arms you were in for a real treat my friend ’cause apparently all hell broke loose.
The infamous ANC Comissioner, Frank Winstead (who hates fun), lost what little was left of his mind. Luckily, ace City Paper reporter, Amanda Hess has posted audio from the meeting of Winstead losing his shit on her City Desk Blog.
During the meeting Winstead accused Comet Ping Pong’s owner of:
- lying
- cheating
- stealing
- spitting in a customers food
- encouraging murderers
- encouraging rapists
The City Paper’s Jason Cherkis tried to get in touch with the Comish to explain the outrageous accusations, but after his and the Post’s calls fell on deaf ears, Cherkis decided to take a little trip to Winstead’s apartment… thank god they brought a camera.
