Not your Grandma's Tuesday night

I ventured over to Nellie's Sports Bar, on the corner of 9th and U st. NW, for their weekly Bingo event hosted by the fabulous Shiqueeta Lee, 8pm to 10pm. I got there right before bingo started expecting to see a half empty room and people slowly getting drinks and scorecards and then taking a seat, boy was I wrong! Nellie's was packed with people both by the bar and in the bingo room. Shiqueeta got the party started
with shots for the birthday boys and girls and a song from her wonderful co-host. There are prizes for the winners of each round but the real prize is the great atmosphere and wonderful hosts. Bingo is free to all patrons of Nellie's and happens EVERY TUESDAY (tonight!, go tonight!), although I'd suggest getting there early to get some drinks, food and a good seat.
