The time has come for Bellman Barker to play their first headlining WEEKEND show on THE MAINSTAGE at the Cat this Saturday. That’s a big milestone for a DC band. Now, Bellman Barker’s amazingness should not be considered news, since we are their #1 cheerleaders, and have been their #1 cheerleaders since…since the day we started (not to mention that Thomas and Aaron have written a review or two or a tangent or two for us in the past).
Good work Thomas. Solid list. Good shout out to Mr. Lesko. Paradoxically, the dude is pure class in person. I like how he tones down the question marks for day-to-day gear, but never loses ‘em completely.

Andrew at the Cat gives me the best X’s.
it’s such a shame that the zoo is full of hickish tourists in lime green becuase on days when they’re not there it’s really great. like, if you go on an unseasonably warm day in the winter - i’ve done that and it’s wonderful.
also i’m upset that i’m missing you guys tonight. i know you’re going to tear it up.

Matthew Lesko was born in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania. Kind of like me, but different. I still live there; Matthew Lesko no longer lives there. He is my second favorite (behind the late Jerry Orbach) ‘local boy made good.’ My third is quantun physicist David Bohm. I’m bummed that I’m going to miss your show this weekend, but I’ll hopefully be in D.C. soon playing music, and we can hang out, and play songs together, and drink beer, and eat food.

I heart Bellman Barker - nice DC A to Z (I always read these - my favorite recurring column in case the editors are listening). Sorry I was out of town and missed this show. Hope it went well.
