There is so much gay stuff going on in DC this weekend that we wanted to provide you with a guide so you don't get lost in all the sparkles.  We also wanted to use this as excuse to post some hot pics from RAW that we took last month (RAW returns this Friday at the Green Lantern).

THURSDAY - May 06

Event 1: Capital Pride Kick-Off - The Madison Hotel (15th & M) - 6:30pm

The BYGays will be on hand to kick-off the month leading up to Capital Pride week in June.  We'll have some BYT surprises for those that attend (it may include free ponies).   WE WANT TO TELL YOU SO BAD WHAT WE'LL DO, but we can't.The Capital Pride board will use this party (cash bar) to announce the official Capital Pride events, performers, heroes and schedule.  On hand to entertain you will be Destiny B Childs and Ken Las Vegas.  Music by DJ Brennan Sullivan.  FREE.

FRIDAY - May 07

Event 1: RAW - The Green Lantern (in an alley behind 14th Street & Mass Ave) - 10:00pm

DO NOT MISS RAW ON FRIDAY.  It's a bit underground, so you're not supposed to know about it.  Yet, even the New York Times has taken note of the hot men who take their shirts off to dirty disco and new waves hooks.  It's tame enough for even the popped-collar polo set to try it out in comfort, but dirty enough to keep tattooed hipsters coming back for more.

Originally an upstairs party, the popularity of the event has forced a take-over of both floors of the Green Lantern.  It gets crowded, but no one cares.  The guys are hot (and more importantly, nice).  Patrons often can be seen in 70s vintage, campy flannel, and even on roller skates.  Hot Tip: The guys behind RAW (Karl Jones, Bil Todd and Shea Van Horn) are kicking it up a bit this month by featuring Spencer and Phillip as go-go dancers.  They're boyfriends and they happen to do porn.  You can watch them dance while their porn plays on the screens overhead.  $3.

SATURDAY - May 08

Event 1: OCHO DE MAYO pool party - Capitol Skyline Hotel - 12:00 - 8:00pm

Remember how we threw pool parties last summer for us and 1,000 of our closest friends?  Well, WE ARE DOING IT AGAIN on Saturday.  Gays, straights, we all mix together to lounge, drink and dance poolside to some of the best DJs in DC.  This is an official Brightest Young Things produced event.  $15.

Oh, the Going Out Guru's at The Washington Post say that this is the #1 thing to hit this weekend.  They are basically calling you a loser if you don't go.

Event 2: The (Betty) White Party - 18th & U Duplex Diner - 10:00pm

THIS SHIT IS THE SHIT.  A long time ago, gay guys decided to get together and throw fancy theme parties like the White Party in Miami (and Palm Springs).  A short time ago, NBC announced that they were giving in to the will of the people and will be having Betty White host Saturday Night Live this weekend.

Sharon Van Riggins (party promoters Aaron Riggins and Shea Van Horn) will be throwing the (Betty) White Party this Saturday night at the Duplex Diner.  Yes, the bar will be playing SNL (Hot Tip: Did you know that SNL still airs on Saturday nights, and not just on Hulu clips that you check at the office while your boss says you *should* be working?).  However, Van Horn and Riggins will also be hijacking the commercial break with fake commercials and comedic skits.

The duo will also be giving away free items and SO WILL BYGAYS!!  Patrons are encouraged to wear white, but it's not a must.  Also, this place will be packed so get there early.  FREE.

SUNDAY - May 09

Event 1: PocketGays Present: Sunday School - Local 16 - 3:00 - 9:00pm

This is one of our favorite monthly parties.  After brunch, head to the Local 16 for dancing, games and drinking on the upstairs deck.  This is a fun, fun, fun event.

DJRAD (Pink Sock) and BYGay's own Bradley will be DJing for you.  Lot's of free prizes abound, as well as some great drink specials from Jeremiah Weed Sweet Tea Vodka.
