Remember how April was Sex Month? Well, May is going to be FOOD MONTH (focusing only on life's necessities with our themes) and as such you can expect a visual overload of food posts. One of the regular columns we plan to have is: WHAT'S IN YOUR FRIDGE; where we explore the window to everyone's soul: the contents of their fridge/freezer.
We will be intruding onto the kitchens local people of note, readers, food critics and chefs, pr people and beyond and we kick off with the fridge of Josh Sisk, one of our favorite photographers around (check out his Under the Strobe Light book) whose food compartments, in his own words, are "pretty real right now")

Freezer:
Almost empty store bought bag of ice, ice cube tray (empty), some trader joe's tamales and pad thai lurking in the back, some frozen roasted veggies in the front- a great addition to scrambled eggs. That gray shape in the back is a frozen washcloth - a wonderful thing if you don't have air conditioning or haven't installed your window unit yet when it starts to get hot (I uninstall mine in the winter months so i can have more light, and reinstall when it gets hot enough).
Top Shelf:
2 bottles of champagne, a 2 liter of coke, a 2 liter of dr pepper, what looks like ten natty bohs.
2nd Shelf:
Pesto, Margarine, Queso, Lemon Juice, a case of 35mm slide film rolls and a dozen or so 120mm black and white film rolls.
3rd Shelf:
condiments! all kinds, plus some soy milk, real milk, and eggs. i guess this is my condiments and dairy shelf. plus some black bean dip and salsas.
Bottom Shelf:
This would be where my crisper is but, you've seen my fridge. No need for a crisper. Instead... Yogurt! And an assortment of beers: rolling rock, shiner bock, dogfish head, guiness.

Door Top Shelf:
A single serving complimentary strawberry jelly from a french restaurant near my house.
Door Middle Shelf:
Butter, and single server minced garlic cubes.
Door Bottom Shelf:
4 more shiners, a reusable glass water carafe, and a bottle of aloe drink from the Korean market by my house.
Stay nourished.

God loves a cheerful giver.
YOU GUYS
josh, i didn't know you were such a lush. love it
puja! how did you not know?
seriously though i rarely drink at home so booze tends to accrue in my fridge from leftovers when i entertain.
interestingly enough, my second shelf contains the same pesto (trader joe's, no?) in the exact same tilted position. high five.
Thumbs up Kodak!
