This week we have the 10th annual Washington Post dining guide, Bacon Week, Birch & Barley is opening, Man vs. Food in D.C., Bierhaus, Napa 1015 is done, banana wrappers and giant cupcakes.
- Tom Sietsema put out his 10th annual dining guide for the Washington Post. You can browse by cuisine, location, star rating, and price. Also feature, a timeline of a decade of dining guides. Make me realize how much I miss Phyllis Richman, no offense Tom.
- Today kicks off Bacon Week at Restaurant 3 in Arlington. Three courses, $30.
- Birch & Barley is opening tomorrow. You should go upstairs to the ChurckKey bar and keep asking "Is this Ram Rod?"
- Tune in tonight to Man vs. Food on Travel Channel, where host Adam Richman visits D.C. Horace and Dickie's get some much deserved love...and now I want a fish sandwich.
- More info on the new H Street Biergarten Haus...sounds awesome.
- Sadly though, Napa 1015, another H Street destination is closing.
- I'll probably get shit for this, but I am okay with packaging a banana so it doesn't get brown spots. I can't eat a banana with ANY spots on it, so really, it's an effort to save food. And yes, I realize a banana is wrapped, naturally. But still.
- Big Top Cupcake - Food trend, now 25 times bigger!
God loves a cheerful giver.

Alex, you don't need individually packaged bananas if you have this (which I do):
