This week new coffee spots, fancy places closes, new Cap Hill bar, water ice, new sides at Ray's, pho opens, Food Network Star, Top Chef Masters, pasta recipe, veggie easting disorder, Easter stuff and a singing fish.
- Murky Coffee in Clarendon closes, wil reopen as Wrecking Ball Coffee in Chinatown. Bayou Bakery will take the spot in Arlington. Metrocurean has the info.
- Le Paradou will close at the end of the month. Not the time for pricey dinners.
- Molly Malone's replaces Finn McCool's in Barracks Row. It'll still remain Barra Brava friendly.
- Philadelphia Water Ice is back open!
- Ray's Hell Burger now serves cheesy tater tots.
- Pho 14 is finally open.
- All the DC food world is abuzz with the news that our very own Teddy Folkman of Granville Moore's will be on the next "Food Network Star." For more info click here and here. Good to see some more DC representation.
- Another show that just announced its line up is the new "Top Chef Masters." Which is guess is just "Top Chef" but with really famous chefs competing. One DC name is Art Smith of Art and Soul. Both shows start in June.
- Pasta cooked in red wine. Make this. Trust me. It'll get you laid.
- Vegetarianism is an eating disorder.
- Easter is this weekend. Whiile dying eggs has lost it's appeal, there are ways to do it using spices, fruits, vegetables and even old silk ties.

- How to make your own gourmet Peeps like Restaurant 3.
- Make S'meeps. S'mores and Peeps.

- Can't get it out of my head.
God loves a cheerful giver.

Bill Spieler actually broke out a "Gimme That Fish" dance remix at Liberation Dance Party last week.
Philadelphia Water Ice has a location on GA Ave across from Howard. I think it's near Fairmont. Right side of st headed south.
And yes, best Cheesesteaks ever. Confirmed by Philly natives, too.
I didn't know it was possible to love Bill Spieler more than I already did.
lol @ vegetarianism is an easting disorder...
"The moral, spiritual, and ethical reasoning behind vegetarianism goes far beyond Coren's view that all vegetarians are attention-seeking tattooed anorexic anarchists who would rather ruin society than eat meat. Albert Einstein, on the other hand, once said, "Nothing will benefit human health and increase chances for survival of life on Earth as much as the evolution to a vegetarian diet."
SMEEPS!!! genius.
