There's a new dining experience in Adams Morgan. In what was once the space housing Club Felix on 18th street, a new restaurant-club duo called Savour and Sutra has emerged providing American contemporary/Asian fusion cuisine. Brought to you courtesy of executive chef Calvin Nguyen, Savour is a refreshing new experiment in semi-fine dining for Adams Morgan.

The restaurant and club are the shared visions of club owners Jonathan Wells and Shawn Ramdat, and this past Wednesday I had the special privilege of previewing the menu and touring the space on behalf of BYT. The club space features three floors each replete with their own DJ booths and is highlighted by the first floor, accented with birch banisters and statuettes set into the walls.
The restaurant side of the joint venture, Savour, plans to serve a late night dining menu available until 1am, and features an intimate wine bar in the back of the dining room. The wine bar sits perched above everything and is a nice touch, adding a dynamic feel to an otherwise wide open, lengthy room. Calvin Nguyen, fresh off a stint at the Phoenix Park Hotel, came up with the menu himself, and adds his flare for presentation to a menu that might otherwise come across as standard fare.

The club plans to feature jazz on a weekly basis, and has an ambient sound system that promises the capability of broadcasting the sound on all three levels. With 30+ wines in their wine bar, there is a lot of new to be happy about inside this 100+ year-old building on 18th street.

Sutra will be hosting it's grand opening on New Years Eve featuring DC veteran, DJ Stereofaith. Cover being $10 and free with RSVP, you can send an email to reservations@sutraloungeadamsmorgan.com to reserve your comped spot for the countdown.
God loves a cheerful giver.

I'm hungry
Hey Pat!
Come in! I'll feed you.
Loves it... Pat, that's words from the CHEF, for you!
Great place, good food, good friend....Love it
Anh Vinh, Great job on the foods presentation. It looks fantastic. I can't wait to try your talent. Good luck with everything.
Awesome atmosphere and the wings were truly "hot wings". I loved it all. The place to be.
Hi Calvin,
Do you have enough food for a Guyanese sized appetite?
It seems refreshing and inviting, I would dine there.
Wish you much success
The photos have a nice warmth to them..good use of ambient light. My only two issues with the photos are the random girl at the bottom of the stairs in the one photo..she looks lost. The food shots are nice, except a few have the shadow of the lens in them.
Love the atmosphere, can't wait to taste the food.
Calvin,
Congratulations, very proud and so excited for you, I would love to come in and see you and sample your creations.
How can I put our names on the guest list for New Years eve party..
Thanks

I just received an update from Bernard. Congratulations and best wishes and much success. The atmosphere looks wonderful, warm and relaxing i am looking forward to visiting very soon. I did visit the previous club under a different name compliments of Bernard. I look forward to visiting soon.
This restaurant takes design and the ambience up to another level for restaurants in Adams Morgan. The wood decor is exquisite. I am pleased that one of our local businesses Quallity Shoes and Upholstery Non other than Ricardo Villalobos did all the upholstery work.
I am certain that the food and service is as superb as the vision that went into this endeavor.
