Per the Washington Post's Going Out Gurus, Adam Bernbach of Bar Pilar fame is ending his self-imposed exile and bringing his crafted cocktails back to DC at Proof:
"Honestly, I didn't leave Pilar for Proof," Bernbach said today. "I didn't expect to be back in a restaurant with this speed. But the opportunity presented itself and it seemed like a good fit. I've known everyone involved [with Proof] for quite a long time."
Bernbach's tenure begins July 13, one day before Bastille Day. Here's hoping someone creates a revolutionary French-themed cocktail to celebrate his new job (hint hint)!

First met Adam and Sebastian from Proof the same night 5 years ago at Visions in Dupont. We still drink a lot. Some things never change. Will have one more excuse to visit Proof more oftern!
