You thought you could get away from this weather, didn't you? That it's been so nice lately and it's only May, of course it's not going to be revoltingly humid and the harbinger of swamp-ass.
WRONG.
It's not even hot outside right now, but the evil humidity that DC is well known for is back with a vengeance and it wants to make you sweat. Of course, I thought this was appropriate.
Swamp Water
- 1 1/2 oz green Chartreuse
- 4 oz pineapple juice
Pour these into a tall glass and fill with ice. Add a lime squeeze. Honestly, this tastes like an air freshener. Like I cracked open a Glade "Herbal Water Sunset" plug-in, or some other similarly named freshener and drank it. A better substitute (though not better tasting) would be absinthe: it's not going to taste good at all, but at least you'll get a nice and relaxed, languid feeling from it. Or at least that's how I feel after drinking absinthe.

God loves a cheerful giver.
