Brightest Young Things

It's Columbus Day everywhere but in my heart (and office). If you're like me and stuck behind a desk today, drink one of these. Or two. I won't judge.

Jinx

• 1 oz passion fruit nectar
• 1 oz Gin
• 1 oz Calvados (or applejack)
• 1 dash Angostura

Shake with ice and strain into a chilled cocktail glass. This is a little thick thanks to the nectar, and if it's not your cup of tea go with juice instead. If you have no idea what passion fruit nectar is or where to find it, go to any Safeway, Giant, or corner bodega and look for the Hispanic foods section. There with the Goya and Jumex you will find your sweet sweet nectar.  (For those who are super confused, there is another Jinx cocktail that calls for vodka and Bailey's)
