There are a couple Hotel Angleterre's out there, but I like to imagine that this is for the one in St. Petersburg. For those that don't know I live, breathe and study Russian language culture (and even have a job that revolves around it). Anything that even has the hint of Russophilia, I'm there.

Hotel Angelterre
- 1/2 oz Canadian Club whisky
- 1/4 oz dry vermouth
- 1/4 oz sweet vermouth
Shake with ice and strain into a chilled cocktail glass. Squeeze an orange segment in the drink and place orange peel on top. To make this good use a bone-dry vermouth, preferably Noilly Prat. In a bit of cocktail trivia, allegedly T.S. Eliot named his cat Noilly Prat. This taste is like a drier Manhattan sans the bitters...so, I suppose not really like a Manhattan at all.
God loves a cheerful giver.
