Brightest Young Things

Last night I was craving some gin. I still don't know why. I've finally gotten over my initial hangups about gin (drinking every day does that to you I suppose) and find myself wanting it. If you had told me a year ago that I'd be such a fan I'd laugh in your face. Next to conquer: scotch.

Gin Blind

• 1/2 oz gin
• 1/4 oz curacao
• 1/8 oz brandy
• 1/8 oz orange bitters

Stir with ice and strain into a cocktail glass. This one is delightfully dry, yet with a hint of sweet. Even better is that most bars have all the necessary ingredients to make this and the name is easy to remember. Order this next time you're out on the town.
